I think Northest Louisiana will see a slight decrease in soybean acres this season. Weather permitting, I think corn will take a few of these acres. Seth Hoyt, a former USDA/NASS analyst, predicts that in California, alfalfa will be down 25,000 acres in 2009. Do you see this trend in your area, or do you feel alfalfa acres will remain steady?
